2009 in hip hop review.

Okay, following the advice of a few of my readers and my own idea presented for solicitation of such advice, I waited until year's end (or until the last Tuesday of the month year, so no more music is releasing) and I will NOW make my 2009 post for the time capsule that is the internets... Let us understand that by the time you read this, 10 of the 12 months' releases will have been filled in, but as I TYPE this, I am expecting the ugliest of clusterfucks. I base this SOLELY on what I recall having been released to this point in the year (10/26/2009, 8:42am EST). To be totally honest, I am describable as angered right now just thinking about it, but I will let it ride. I committed to the project, so I will do it to completion. January We get the not-so-good-soundtrack to a not-so-good movie, Notorious . Does anyone care to know what I have been up to for the last 3.5 months or so? You clicked on the link to get you here, so I am only to assume that you're at least PARTIALLY interested in the goings-on in my world. I would give you more lead in on this, but that would take away from this meticulously documented time line I have constructed. 07/14/2009 - 9:37am Moms gets an email from her best friend about the group who had a program in place helping people get into houses. Wayback - 1999 edition

You should both be familiar with my 1998 , 1996 and 1997 editions, and perhaps have noted that I will likely be doing one of these whenever the inclination hits me... I will not promise to keep them in order, as I have not to this point, only posting them whenever I feel like it. I will also not commit to how many or what years I will do here, as it is very much possible that I could be fully entrenched in WANTING to write something on a specific year, but left with nothing of special interest to write about in any particular depth. With the promises out of the way, let's look at 1999 in hip hop. January gave us only weak albums from Keith Murray and Foxy Brown, "It's a Beautiful Thing" and "Chyna Doll" respectively...
