Fun fact: On June 22, 2011 there was not a SINGLE baby item in my house… Then I left work on June 23, 2011. As ever, I jumped in the car, picked up my mother and took her home. As I walked in the house, Katie was ending a call and advised me that she was pregnant. To those who know what we WERE planning, this was a ton of bricks on the both of us. For the entire of the prior 7 months, Katie was planning for a bariatric surgery and had a schedule date of 06/28. The pregnancy test that had (now) cancelled surgery was a part of the pre-surgery performed on EVERY woman scheduled to have it. As active and consenting adults, the disappointment of this happening when it happened was one thing, but the urgency of planning for a baby overrides such sensibilities. We went to premarital counseling immediately upon receipt of the news and started planning. OB appointment set for the following week to establish how far along we are and begin some REAL planning for this. ...

British Automotive Pr0ns - Lotus Esprit

The year? That'd be 1972, my parents are still in High School. This is also the year that British automaker, Lotus unveils a concept car at the Turin Auto Show based on a WAAAAAY futuristic at the time face, based upon the Europa chassis. Originally named "Kiwi," but that would be surely shitcanned sometime soon thereafter, seeing as how Lotus cars' names all begin with "E." The car would make production in 1976, and would continue as such in varying levels of advancement until 2004, for a run lasting longer -- and THROUGH -- cars that copied it, including the BMW M1 from earlier today. Aided by being lightweight and being James Bond's car in "The Spy Who Loved Me," the cars were quite popular. They were said to handle and steer like a dream, two attributes that people STILL give up to Lotus even to this day. (8) Homelessness is a way to beat the recession

I was thinking for a while, that I could probably pull off being homeless for a few months... I would need: A post office box. A storage unit for all my "stuff" My car. A job (but not necessarily) A membership at a 24-hour gym Now that we have established those things, let us look at how this might work... See, my mail would come to the PO box, simple as that. That way I am still getting my stuff from work and the people with the storage unit, as well as the bill from my insurance company. Now, the way shit goes in NC, the only time you could pull this off would be from late March to September, when the night time weather allows you to live comfortably like this. Now, you sleep every night in the car outside of the gym, when bothered by any fuzz, just go IN the damned gym, workout for a couple minutes and all should be fine. Worried about smelling? Take a shower before you leave the gym, the showers are there for a reason. When the heat is off, camp out on one of the couch...
