Wayback - 1999 edition

You should both be familiar with my 1998 , 1996 and 1997 editions, and perhaps have noted that I will likely be doing one of these whenever the inclination hits me... I will not promise to keep them in order, as I have not to this point, only posting them whenever I feel like it. I will also not commit to how many or what years I will do here, as it is very much possible that I could be fully entrenched in WANTING to write something on a specific year, but left with nothing of special interest to write about in any particular depth.        I am an awful liar… I don't mean that as in "I'm awful because I lie a lot," I mean it as in "I am awful at lying" .  Yes, there is absolutely a difference      I tell the band kids all the time to just be straight up with shit, because maintaining a lie is not e'em worth it in the grandest scheme of things.  Something I learned when I was drinking is -- outside of WILDLY entertaining stories -- how hard it is to remember all of the elements of a non-truth when the truth is what actually happened.  You ain't gotta work to remember shit if you stick to what actually happened in the first place. … unless, of course, you can convince yourself that the lie you're telling is the actual truth, in which case congratulations you're a fucking sociopath and master manipulator.      Anyway… I'm just getting off work a couple weeks ago and had to go scout a couple of lawns I cut, plus run quotes on two new ones.  I'm not ...

Dijon Derangement Syndrome: Conservative media attack Obama for burger order (yes, that is a link) President Obama goes and orders hamburger... Apparently, the man knows dick about ordering a burger at a counter, because he asks for it "medium well," but a few years at Harvard and as a Senator will learn that habit out of you, not knocking him. Here's the rap, though... These motherfuckers are taking him to task because he requested that he didn't get ketchup on it, but instead requested spicy mustard? Because of this, everyone on the anti-Obama bandwagon now calls him everything from unamerican to uppity, basically anything but a child of God BECAUSE HE KNOWS WHAT THE FUCK HE WANTS ON A HAMBURGER?!!?
